Crew Ride is a digital carpooling platform operated by ISHANOVA TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED. It connects verified people who want to share an existing everyday journey and its costs. The person offering the seat drives the journey; Crew Ride facilitates the connection, booking, payment, and support.
What Crew Ride provides
Eligible members can find or offer available seats on journeys a vehicle owner already plans to make. The platform provides route matching, member and vehicle verification, booking tools, payment collection, ride communications, and safety and support features. Crew Ride does not itself drive these journeys or provide the member’s vehicle.
Availability depends on the routes members publish and on the eligibility, capacity, and timing checks applied to each ride. A request or quote does not guarantee that a seat will be available.
Accounts and verification
Members must provide accurate information and complete the required identity or community verification before using restricted ride features. Crew Ride supports verified students and working professionals; a ride may include members from either or both communities according to the ride settings.
A member offering seats must submit a valid driving licence and private vehicle details for review. Only an approved vehicle and eligible owner may offer seats. Keep your details and documents current, protect your account, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
Offering and taking a ride
Offer seats only on a journey you genuinely intend to make in an approved private vehicle. Respect the verified seating limit, agreed route and time, and other members. Do not use Crew Ride for taxi-like services, off-platform fare negotiation, misleading listings, unsafe conduct, harassment, or misuse of another member’s information.
Before joining a ride, review its route, pickup, departure, vehicle information, and payable amount. Follow the in-app boarding steps and use the available reporting tools if something goes wrong.
Prices and payment
The total payable for each ride is shown in Indian rupees (₹/INR) before payment. The amount varies by ride; the app displays the complete amount before you confirm a payment. Crew Ride collects the passenger’s payment through its payment provider and arranges the applicable cost-share settlement to the vehicle owner after the ride, subject to the payment and ride status.
The full displayed amount is paid in advance; Crew Ride does not collect a separate deposit or instalment for a seat. Crew Ride does not permit the vehicle owner to negotiate a different passenger amount through the platform. Safety and responsible use
Verification and platform checks help members make informed choices, but each participant remains responsible for lawful, careful conduct during a journey. Follow road rules, use seat belts or required protective equipment, and do not carry more passengers than the approved vehicle capacity.
Crew Ride offers ride reporting and an in-app SOS feature during an active ride. If you need immediate emergency help, contact local emergency services directly. We may review reports and restrict or suspend accounts to protect the community and enforce these terms.
Changes and disputes
We may update these terms as the service changes. The updated version will appear on this page with an effective date. If a material change affects your use of Crew Ride, we will give notice through the service where appropriate. These terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to applicable consumer rights.
